Custom Deal Fields

Commish lets you add custom fields to deals for more granular tracking and commission calculations.

Adding Custom Fields

• Go to Settings → Custom Fields
• Click "Add Field"
• Configure:

- Field name — e.g., "Product Line", "Contract Length"

- Field type — Text, Number, Dropdown, Date, or Checkbox

- Required — Whether reps must fill this out when submitting deals

• Save

Custom fields appear on the deal submission form and can be used in reports and exports.

Deal Type Modifiers

Different deal types can earn different commission rates. Configure modifiers to adjust the base rate:

Setting Up Deal Types

• Navigate to Comp Plans → Deal Types
• Click "Add Deal Type"
• Define:

- Type name — e.g., "New Business", "Renewal", "Expansion", "Upsell"

- Modifier — A multiplier applied to the base commission rate
