Using the Audit Log

adminfinance

Overview

The Audit Log provides a complete record of all actions taken in your Commish organization. Every change is tracked — who did what, when, and what was affected.

Accessing the Audit Log

Navigate to Settings → Audit Log.

What's Tracked

The audit log records:

  • Plan changes — Created, edited, archived, or deleted compensation plans
  • Team changes — Members invited, roles changed, deactivated
  • Deal actions — Deals submitted, approved, rejected, edited
  • Dispute activity — Disputes filed, resolved, escalated
  • Settings changes — Organization settings, integrations, custom fields
  • Export activity — Reports generated and downloaded

Filtering the Log

Use the filter bar to narrow results:

  • Date range — Select start and end dates
  • User — Filter by the person who performed the action
  • Action type — Filter by category (Plan, Team, Deal, etc.)
  • Search — Free-text search across log entries

Exporting the Audit Log

  • Apply your desired filters
  • Click "Export CSV"
  • The download includes all filtered entries with timestamps, user info, action details, and affected records
Tip: Regular audit log reviews are a best practice for SOX compliance and internal controls. Set a calendar reminder to review monthly.
Info: Audit log entries are immutable — they cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including admins.
